Pro Seal 770  is a water based, eco friendly, high purity, UV Stable acrylic polymer. It is very versatile and has many uses. It has good bridging capabilities, excellent adhesion and impressive binding abilities. These properties give it exceptional performance as a limestone sealer, a UV stable primer, a grouting binder and as a colour stabilising agent. Pro Seal 770 is made in Australia for Australian conditions. It is supplied as a 5 times concentrate for reduced shipping cost and a small carbon foot print.

Pro Seal 770 Limestone Sealer

Limestone is very porous and quite friable. This is true for natural limestone and reconstituted products made from limestone, such as retaining blocks and liquid limestone. Due to their porous nature they soak up lots of moisture. This can be from rain, sprinklers or even just rising damp from moisture in the ground. As the water evaporates from the surface it leaves behind salts in the water. These salts form crystals in the surface pores. As they form they crack open the pores in the limestone. This is known as salt damage. These micro fractures significantly increase limestone erosion rates.

Pro Seal 770 is an exceptional limestone sealer and liquid limestone sealer. The polymer penetrates deep into the substrate and forms a strong but flexible matrix. This provides strength and stability to friable materials.  Further, the sealer is highly breathable. This enables water molecules to pass through the sealer, without the salts. This ensures the limestone can dry out without creating efflorescence and without blistering the sealer. These properties enable Pro Seal 770 to protect limestone and other soft materials from erosion and premature weathering.

The breathable nature of Pro Seal 770 limits algae, mould and moss growth. All these organisms are common on limestone because of it’s porous nature and the surface texture. There’s plenty of places for them to hold onto and there’s often plenty of moisture wicking through the pores to keep them alive. Pro Seal 770 bridges these micro-pores to make it harder for these microbes to get a foothold. It also keeps the surface dry. The moisture that passes through the sealer does so as a vapour, not a liquid. This allows the substrate to dry, without watering the microbes.

Due to it’s high flexibility Pro Seal 770 limestone sealer is not as wear resistant as Pro Seal 896 & Pro Seal 898. As such it is best to use as a stand alone sealer only in low traffic areas. It is ideal for sealing retaining walls, garden features and feature limestone. However, in high traffic and high staining environments, an extra layer of protection is highly recommended. Apply a final seal coat of Pro Seal 896 for best results. Or use Pro Seal 898 for extra gloss.

Pro Seal 770 is a Colour Stabilising Sealer

ProSeal 770 will enhance and prolong the colour fastness of all oxide coloured cement based materials. Pro Seal 770 is also cementitious compatible. This means it can be used as an admix for poured applications. When used as an admix binder for screeds and toppings it adds both strength and colour enhancement. These properties make ProSeal 770 very popular for use in concrete resurfacing and as a first coat when sealing coloured concrete.

Pro Seal 770 is a Clear, UV Stable, Primer

Pro Seal 770 is a very high purity acrylic. It produces a very high clarity clear polymer matrix. And it’s highly UV stable, so it will stay that way for a very long time. This makes it a very good primer for use under clear coatings. It has excellent bridging capabilities and very strong adhesion. It will efficiently fill up the larger pores in highly porous materials.  This will ensure final coats do not penetrate too deep into the substrate. But will remain near the surface where it is most needed. Using Pro Seal 770 as a pre-sealer will result in better product coverage and lower overall sealing costs.

A two step, ProSeal 770/ProSeal 896 sealing system is recommended for all highly porous traffic-able areas.

Pro Seal 770 Grouting Binder

Pro Seal 770 is an excellent grouting binder for polished concrete floors. It binds fine grinding dust from the grinding and polishing processes to fill in pinholes, voids and cracks. Since the dust comes from the floor, colour matching is close to perfect. This often produces a completely seamless repair. For best results use diluted Pro Seal 770 solution in place of water in one or more wet grinding steps.

  • Dilution: Pro Seal 770 is a highly-concentrated product that requires dilution with water prior to application.

    • Mix the neat product thoroughly prior to dilution.
    • Suggested dilution rates are:
    • 1:4 (1 part product : 4 parts water)

  • Application: Diluted solution should be mixed thoroughly prior to application. Apply using the CSU (Commercial Spray Unit) or suitable spray applicator.

    • Best applied to a wet/damp surface to help draw product into the surface material. Use white colour of the product as a visual aid to achieve even coverage.
    • Use a soft bristle broom to sweep out any pools that develop.
    • Allow to dry clear / 24 hours prior to sealing with Pro-Seal 896.

  • Polished Concrete Grouting Binder:

    • Apply diluted solution to the surface during the finer wet grinding stage of the polishing process.  Seal with Pro-Seal 896 for best results.
    • Wash all equipment with water after use.
    • Any overspray on adjacent surfaces such as glass, metal or painted surfaces should be wiped off with a damp rag before the product dries.

Uses

  • First coat sealer for oxide coloured concrete, decorative concrete, new installation natural stone.
