A Concentrated Water Based Copolymer
Pro Primer 575 is a concentrated water based copolymer which provides super strong binding and priming capabilities to porous and friable materials. It is the perfect primer for concrete, masonry, render, plaster, hebel and other porous building materials.
Cementitious Compatible Primer & Admix
Pro Primer 575 works best when applied to damp surfaces. This makes it perfect for new concrete, plaster and screeds. Traditional primers require a dry substrate and therefore new render and concrete needs at least 3 days before it can be primed. Now you can prime concrete and plaster as soon as it is finished.

Applying shortly after finishing new concrete, cement or lime work has secondary benefits. The polymer matrix slows down moisture loss from concrete and cementitious screeds. This ensures enough water is retained for proper curing. Materials treated in this way are much less likely to crack, craze and delaminate.
However, Pro Primer 575 is not just for new materials. It can be used on all existing porous surfaces. Just dampen down the materials with water prior to application.
Consolidating Binder Repairs Friable Materials
Pro Primer 575 is a high strength cross linking binder. It soaks deep into porous materials and crosslinks to form a tough polymer matrix. This matrix encapsulates any crumbling or friable particles and binds the whole substrate together. Treated surfaces will be waterproof, non porous and have dramatically improved wear resistance.
These consolidating properties make it the primer of choice for sand finish render, soft stone or masonry, or existing structures damaged by salt or erosion.
Exceptional Priming Performance for Porous Materials
By forming a crosslinking matrix, Pro Primer 575 turns a porous substrate into a non porous, waterproof material. This is far easier to paint than the porous, crumbling surface that existed before. Further, this primer stays slightly tacky for several days after application. This provides the perfect substrate for painting, resurfacing, or adhesives for tiling, cladding or flooring.
- Paint (or adhesives) applied to a material treated with Pro Primer 575 will bind strongly to the polymer matrix.
- Since this matrix extends deep into the substrate the paint is completely anchored down and cannot peel or delaminate
- Paint is not sucked into the material and therefore coverage rates are significantly increased. In most cases the savings in paint more than offsets the cost of the primer
Cost Effective Concentrated Formula
Pro Primer 575 is supplied as a 5 times concentrate. A 5L container is diluted with 20L of water at the point of use to make 25L of product. This is enough product to prime up to 125m2.
Safer for You & the Environment
Pro Primer 575 is a water based product with almost no VOC’s. This means it is safe to use even in indoor environments. This product is a much safer alternative to the solvent based products which traditionally dominate this market space.
Since the product is shipped as a concentrate there are less carbon emissions compared to ready to use products. This further reduces the overall environmental impact of the product.
NOTE: This product may yellow with prolonged exposure to UV light. Apply a good quality exterior paint as the final topcoat in environments where render is regularly exposed to sunlight. If required as a final coat, please consider using ProSeal 770 or ProSeal 896, as both these are completely UV stable.
