This handy little device makes it super easy to dispense liquids from WA Sealers 20L containers. Put simply it is a 58mm cap with a built in tap.
However, what makes this device special is that it has a built in vent tube. This allows air to enter the container as the liquid is draining out. When the tap is opened both the liquid outlet and the air vent are opened simultaneously. This prevents an air lock and allows for quicker and more consistent liquid flow.
With a normal tap you need to find somewhere for the air to get in. If the container has a bottom bung you could achieve this by removing the bung, drilling out the backing blank, fitting the tap and then opening the cap to vent. If you don't have a bung you would have to punch a hole somewhere near the top of the container. This effectively ruins the container, making it unsuitable for storage or reuse. None of this is a problem if you use the Aeroflow Tap.
To use all you need to do is:
- Remove the standard cap from the container
- Screw on the Aeroflow tap cap making sure the outlet is facing the cap side of the container
- Tip the container on it's side (with the cap at the bottom)
- Twist the tap 180 degrees to open and close the tap as required
